Meet Dr. Michael Schmitt, MD

I believe that excellent plastic surgery begins long before the operating room, with listening, understanding, and respect for each patient’s individual goals. While I am committed to mastering the latest techniques and delivering the highest standard of surgical care, I approach every patient not just as a surgeon, but as another human being. Inspired by the idea that behind every procedure is a person with a story, I strive to create a supportive, honest, and collaborative experience.

Originally from Montana, I feel a deep connection to the Pacific Northwest and the community I serve. I earned my medical degree from the University of Washington and completed my plastic surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University, where I developed both advanced surgical skills and a strong foundation in patient-centered care. I am proud to care for patients in the Portland area with integrity, transparency, and respect; helping to guide, educate, and apply my expertise so that together we can achieve results that feel natural, authentic, and aligned with who you are.
